Why APPI: Jeff Stegner, brother of the owner of Lock+Load, needed to move cast retaining wall panels from floor level where they are poured, to a mold removal table and then to a pallet for shipping.
Although the loads are only 200 lbs. with 5 feet of lift, Jeff wanted to reduce the cycle time as much as possible without sacrificing safety.
In the end, a Columbia HD670 retaining wall hoist with our strap option, coupled to one of our Columbia one-ton manual overhead trolleys, was selected for this job.
Jeff says it’s been doing exactly what they wanted from the time it was first installed and he provided the attached video so we could see it in action.
