Why APPI: Extruding tough materials for products such as brick, block and tile takes tough machines but regardless of how tough the machine might be, it still needs periodic maintenance and repair. When Jody Robinson, engineer for JC Steele & Sons, identified a need for a winch to pull sections of one of their machines out on a rail and bearing system, compact size and minimal maintenance were the top two requirements on her must have list. Equipped with a strap to eliminate the issues of using wire rope for short distances and with a frequent load, unload scenario, one of our Columbia WG11000 AC units was a perfect match for their extrusion machine winch needs.
