Why APPI: Assembling industrial rack and pinion elevators is a key part of doing business for Tower Elevator Systems. To help with the process they needed to find a compact, reliable and low maintenance hoist that could be installed without impacting their assembly procedure. The answer was one of our Columbia HD1300 electric elevator hoists mounted on a beam with a change of direction sheave at the high point on their tower assembly.
Its first use was on a time sensitive project so Andrew Leahy, TESI engineer, appreciated both our short lead time for the elevator installation hoist and the fact it has performed flawlessly since it came out of the box.
