Why APPI:  When you are faced with a nearly endless line of trucks – each carrying multiple tons of potatoes – the ability to unload them quickly and gently is of paramount importance.  For those in that position, Mayo Manufacturing and their Evenflow offloading system has proven to be a reliable choice.

With this system the spuds are off-loaded using a conveyor boom equipped with proximity sensors to keep it close enough to the potatoes as they pile up to avoid drop damage yet high enough to keep it from becoming clogged.

Jared Schultz, project manager for Mayo, came to us for an electric hoist to eliminate any chance of hydraulic contamination, and based on the lift distance and mounting restrictions, selected one of our Columbia HG3700 AC electric hoists with a 4” wide strap to position the boom.

The compact size, automatic brake and industrial quality are all features that made this conveyor boom hoist an ideal match to Mayo’s needs.
