Why APPI: When Thermo Fluids, an industrial oil and fluids recycling facility in southern Oregon, decided to replace a manual hoist with a powered unit they selected Picket Construction to handle the task. The original manual hoist, used to lift a lid on a sludge tank, was both physically demanding and time consuming to use. Charged with finding an AC powered replacement hoist, Picket looked at products from several manufacturers before purchasing the Columbia unit. In addition to meeting all of their desired performance requirements, including an automatic brake, the profile of the new hoist made it easy to install in a very constrained space.
